Maplecrest Pools

Our Process

Our Process

How a Maplecrest Pools construction project moves from first conversation to a working pool, step by step.

1

Six stages, one project lead

  1. 1

Step 1: Initial meeting & consultation

We start with a conversation about the backyard, the budget range and what the finished pool needs to do for the household, usually over the phone before any site visit is booked.

  2. 2

Step 2: Site evaluation & design

A site visit checks grade, drainage and access, and a layout is sketched against the measurements taken that day, with options discussed for decking and finishes.

  3. 3

    Step 3: Permits & approvals

We assemble the municipal pool permit package, along with electrical and building inspection requests where applicable, and keep you posted as approvals come back.

  4. 4

Step 4: Final planning & contract

Materials are confirmed, a schedule is set, and the written contract and start date are signed off together before any equipment arrives on site.

  5. 5

    Step 5: Pre-construction preparation

Utility locates are requested, equipment access is arranged, and material deliveries are scheduled ahead of excavation so the first week moves without delay.

  6. 6

    Step 6: Construction through handover

Excavation, plumbing, electrical rough-in and decking proceed in sequence, with a final walkthrough and equipment start-up closing out the project.

How we keep it consistent

Written sequence

Every stage above is agreed in writing before excavation begins, so there is a shared reference if a question comes up mid-project.

One schedule, tracked

Stage dates are tracked against the original plan and adjusted openly if weather or permits shift them, with the revised date shared promptly.

Same crew throughout

The project lead assigned at kickoff is present at the stage check-ins and the final handover, start to finish.

What we don't do

What isn't part of this process

Landscaping beyond the deck tie-in, fencing required by local bylaw, and pool-house or cabana construction are not part of the standard build process above — they can be discussed as separate add-ons during the planning stage if your project needs them, and we can usually recommend a trade partner for scope that falls outside what our crew handles directly.

Interior furnishing, outdoor kitchens and long-term landscaping design also sit outside this process; our six stages end once the pool is running and the deck is finished, and anything beyond that line is yours to plan on your own timeline, with our team happy to coordinate access if another contractor needs to work around the new pool. We would rather be clear about that boundary up front than leave you guessing which parts of the finished backyard are ours to deliver and which are not, since a mismatched expectation on handover day is the kind of surprise we would rather avoid entirely.
