Seasonal
Openings & Closings
Spring opening and fall closing visits that bridge the gap between a winterized pool and a season of regular use.
The Seasonal Opening Service ($170 CAD) removes the winter cover, reconnects pumps, filters and heaters, and runs a system test before the first swim of the year. Cleaning and a full water test are available on request if the pool needs more than a standard start-up.
Closing follows the same logic in reverse: equipment is drained and prepared, winter chemicals are added, and the cover goes on using techniques designed to help it hold through typical Quebec snow loads. Our closing work is intended to help reduce the risk of freeze damage over winter — it is not a promise against every possible weather event, since no outdoor system is immune to an unusually hard season.
Both visits are booked as distinct appointments rather than bundled automatically, so a household that only needs an opening one year, or only a closing, can book exactly that without paying for the other half of the pair.
Opening season in our area usually runs from mid-April through late May, once overnight temperatures stop dipping below freezing on a regular basis. Closing season follows the opposite rhythm, picking up through September and running into October as pools come offline for winter one street at a time rather than all at once.
Equipment age matters more for seasonal visits than almost anything else: a heater or pump nearing the end of its service life is more likely to need attention during start-up, and our technicians flag that during the opening visit so it can be addressed before the closing rather than discovered as a mid-winter surprise. A short conversation about replacement timing, rather than a surprise failure mid-season, is usually the better outcome for everyone, and it costs nothing beyond the visit already on the calendar. We keep a simple record of what was noted at each visit, so a question raised in the fall can be checked against what our technician saw the previous spring, and that same record carries forward year after year as long as you stay on our schedule.

How consistency is kept
Checklist on every visit
Opening and closing both follow a written checklist so nothing depends on memory, whether it's our first visit to a property or our tenth.
Booked ahead of the rush
Slots are confirmed weeks before peak season so your date does not get bumped when demand picks up.
Sign-off note
Every visit ends with a short written note on anything worth watching before the next one, from a weak seal to a filter nearing replacement.
